Identity Automation, is growing and has openings for full-time Infrastructure Engineers.  Identity Automation hosts customer environments in AWS, along with our own Saas offering - RapidIdentity ONE and our own internal platforms. The ideal candidate will embrace ownership of our cloud infrastructure, automating software delivery and infrastructure modifications.  This includes delivering on our customer promises for availability and responsiveness. This is a key role within operations so we are looking for a conscientious professional with DevOps experience.

  • Work closely with internal and external customers to define requirements, design architecture and deploy
  • Automate software and infrastructure deployment
  • Automate monitoring and alerting of production services health
  • Work with the Engineering and Security teams to ensure a reliable and secure solution
  • Provide continuing documentation for all processes, procedures and changes
  • Provide documentation for AWS metrics and alarms along with playbook responses for each
  • Automate the lifecycle of AWS systems
  • Work to reduce/minimize spend in AWS while providing for maximum availability
  • Maintain expertise in AWS as well as other cloud infrastructure offerings
  • Participate in an on call rotation



  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions
  • Experience architecting and deploying complex solutions
  • Deep operating system and application development AND/OR scripting knowledge
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Active involvement in the open source and free software communities
    • Knowledge of any of the following languages C/C++/Visual C, XML, J2EE, HTML, .NET(VB or C#), PHP, Perl, Java, Python, etc
    • Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux server command line tools (BASH, PowerShell, etc.)


  • At least 3 years of practical hands-on technical experience
  • One or more Linux and/or UNIX Operating Systems
  • One or more infrastructure orchestration products (e.g. Chef)
  • Operating system scripting
  • Web development (DHTML, javascript, CSS, etc.)
  • One or more database technologies (MySQL, Postgres, MS SQL, etc)
  • Deep knowledge of AWS technologies - certification preferred
  • General API knowledge (REST, SOAP, etc)
  • The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge on
    • Cloudwatch
    • Cloudformation
    • Cloudtrail
    • Lambda
    • EC2
    • S3
    • SNS
    • RDS
    • Packer, Ansible, Troposphere and Git
